Both Cudahy Library and Lewis Library participate in the InfoPass Program, a Chicago metro area reciprocal network. The intent of InfoPass is to aid researchers conducting work in libraries where public access is restricted. An InfoPass may be issued from any participating Chicago library for research material not available at the originating library but available at Cudahy Library or Lewis Library.
Prior to issuing an InfoPass, the referring library must certify that the researcher is eligible to use InfoPass, as well as the specific research materials they wish to use. Please contact the Libraries in advance by phone to confirm that we have the materials and can provides access to them.
To access materials at Cudahy Library or Lewis Library:
- Present the completed original InfoPass form (including the specific titles of materials you wish to access), along with a valid, government-issued photo ID.
- InfoPass visitor hours are from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday. (No appointment is required.)
- An InfoPass form is valid for a one-time visit only at either Cudahy Library or Lewis Library.
